Anger is a natural and often healthy emotion that everyone feels from time to time, especially when we’re frustrated, scared, or think something is wrong. Understanding and managing anger can help us express our feelings in a helpful way.

Things you can do

  • Take Deep Breaths: Slow, deep breathing can help calm your mind and body.
  • Exercise: Moving your body, by dancing, walking, jogging, or however feels good for you, can help reduce the strength of your feelings.
  • Take a Break: Step away from the situation to give yourself chance to think and feel more calm.
  • Write It Down: Journaling your thoughts and emotions on a bit of paper or on your phone can help you understand your thoughts and feelings.
  • Practice Relaxation: Activities like meditation or yoga can help you feel less stressed and angry.
