How to Get Support at School
School is a great place to get help for your mental wellbeing. There are people at your school who care about you and want to help you feel better. Here are some people who can help:
A teacher: Find a teacher or teaching assistant you trust and let them know how you’re feeling. They can help you find the right support.
The school Pastoral Lead: Each school organises their pastoral support differently, but all schools have staff who are responsible for helping children and young people get support. In your school, this might be a Head of Year, Head of House, or a Form Tutor. If you’re not sure who the Pastoral Lead is, ask a teacher, and they will help you get in touch.
The Mental Health Support Team: Some schools have a member of MyMind’s Mental Health Support Teams, who can help you with how you’re feeling.
All of these people will have heard about Branch too and can use it to help you find the right support, if you want a bit of help.
